Building around beer culture.
BeerShop started around our growing interest in craft beer and everything that came with it.
As co-founder and Visual Designer, I worked on the identity, online store, merchandise, products and communication.
Beer became the visual language.
Beer itself gave me most of the ideas: ingredients, styles, terminology and all the rituals around drinking and brewing it.
Those references became illustrations, typography and graphics that we used across T-shirts, bottles, bags and other products.
From graphics to objects.
The graphics didn't stop at T-shirts. We used them on growlers, bags and other objects, which gave me a chance to see the same ideas work in very different formats.
Taking the culture online.
The online store brought our products and everything we wanted to share about beer into one place. The same graphics we created for physical products also became part of the website and its communication.
Always another idea.
There was always something new to work with — a beer style, an ingredient, a phrase or just something we found funny.
A lot of those ideas eventually became graphics and products.
